Keep Credit Card Interest Rates Under Control
If you're paying more than 12% interest on your credit card, you're paying too much. With the prime interest rate in the single digits, lenders that charge 13% to 25% interest on credit card balances are gouging you. Make Annual Fees a Thing of the Past
Save from $20 to $100 a year by looking for "no annual fee" credit cards. Consider all the other factors such as grace period, the interest rate, etc., as well). If you are now paying an annual fee, you may be able to get the fee waived by calling your bank and asking them to remove it.

Pay Off High Interest Cards
Do you have a balance on more than one credit card? Try to avoid paying finance charges on credit cards, especially cards with high interest rates. If you pay down your credit card balance by just $500 you can save $100 a year in interest charges (based on an APR of 20%).Save money by paying the most you can afford each month on the card with the highest interest rate. Then, make the minimum monthly payment on the others. Once the card with the highest interest rate is paid off, start paying as much as possible each month on the card with the next highest interest rate.
