I have used the RX011 & RX041 Kits for HP cartridge refills and have extended the life of the cartridges 300% without having to rebuild or buy new cartridges - you do the math on those savings. It can be a little messy, but after some practice, it is well worth the time and trouble with the savings.

Christian Chronicles has found www.TonerRefillKits.com to be helpful in every situation where issues have arisen. While there have been very few issues, those that did come up were handled without question, courteously and immediately. I would shop TonerRefillKits.com over a competitor even if the competitor were a buck or two cheaper. Good service is hard to find and integrity is harder. This company has demonstrated that principle outweighs profit and that is the chief element in any truly successful business.

When
should I order a new drum?
Obviously, the manufacturer didn't want your cartridge to last forever.
What component did they design to be the weakest? The drum. Why?
Because the photoconductive drum is the heart of the cartridge. If they
can successfully make the photoconductive drum "die" sooner, rather
than later, they know you are going to buy a new cartridge.
The
symptoms of a dead or dying drum are easily seen. A razor sharp line
always appearing in exactly the same place on the page (generally from top to
bottom on most machines, across the page on 11 X 17 machines), repeating dots,
spots or other defects that appear in exactly the same spot multiple times on
the page, or "tire tracks" appearing on the margin(s) of the page
are all normally associated with drum failure.
Their
dreams of automatically selling you a new cartridge were dashed by companies
like Mitsubishi, Dai Nippon, Fuji Xerox, Samsung and a number of others.
Those companies saw the need for replacement drums so toner cartridge remanufacturers
could bring a dead cartridge back to life. They never imagined a company
like ours would sell the drums AT COST to end users to "re-drum" their
own cartridges.
Why
do we sell them at cost? Simple, our mission is to sell toner.
If we can extend the useful life of your cartridge with an inexpensive replacement
drum, then we sell more toner at the same time. (If you don't believe
we sell the drums at cost, call your local remanufacturer and ask to buy a replacement
drum for your cartridge and after they tell you that you couldn't possibly know
what to do with that drum, or after they try to convince you it is rocket science,
the price they give you will exceed ours by orders of magnitude!).
If
you even have a modicum of mechanical ability (e.g., can you replace a light
bulb and/or do you know which end of the screwdriver to hold?), you can replace
your own drum. As with everything we do, the instructions are so clear,
the pictures so detailed, you will be amazed how fast, how easy and how inexpensive
it is to bring your cartridge back to life. Plus, the bottom line is,
paying only $6 - $15 to replace your drum (the price varies by cartridge type/install
base) beats the daylights out of buying a new cartridge or an EmptyX.
The only time you need to order an empty cartridge is if your present cartridge
isn't working properly (other than just printing light due to "toner low")
or if you want to have spares on hand when your present cartridge finally "poops
out" (usually 2 - 4 refills after it initially runs out of toner).
There's
no reason to order one of our EmptyX cartridges if the cartridge you have in
your printer was working fine before it went "toner low" - simply
order a ReChargX kit and refill the empty you already have! If, on the
other hand, the cartridge you are currently using is exhibiting print defects
(evidenced by random dots, lines, voids, splotches, etc.) not normally associated
with going low on toner, then an EmptyX cartridge is just what you need to replace
your defective cartridge (remember, the EmptyX cartridge is the empty cartridge
only, and must be used in conjunction with a ReChargX kit).
When
your current empty cartridge finally wears out, an EmptyX cartridge used in
conjunction with one of our ReChargX toner refill kits, will give you a fully functioning,
working cartridge that can be refilled again, in the future, and the combination
of an EmptyX and a ReChargX kit costs far, far less than buying a brand new
or remanufactured cartridge.
