Use the Correct Printer
If you have multiple printers in your home, home office or business, be sure you are using the right printer for each job. Printing black and white documents on a color printer isn’t nearly as economical as printing them on a standard black and white laser printer. Use color printer when you need to print color pages.

Choose the Right Printer: Inkjet or Laser
Laser printers are designed for higher volume printing and are ideal for business documents. Inkjet printers are ideal for printing photographs and high quality art work in color. Printing more than 50 pages a week? A laser printer will be more economical for your business printing. Laser printers have a higher duty cycle and much lower cost per printed page for supplies.

Which Printer Should I Buy
A great question and all depends on what computer(s) you have in your home or business and what your printing needs require. We always recommend that you look to make sure that there is a toner refill kit available for the machine you're thinking of purchasing. That way, you'll know that you can save when you get that "toner low message."

Some printers are network printers and can be plugged into a home or business network and can be shared amongst users. Other printers are hard wired to the specific computer. And, now, many printers offer wifi, wireless operation to allow you to put the printer where it's convenient and have all users share the printer.

Most of us have a basic laser printer at our home, home office or business. In addition, we typically have an inkjet printer that is used for those jobs where high quality color is important. For those who have children at home, keep the laser printer for your business documents and general use and use the inkjet for those precious drawings or photos.

You'll find inexpensive printers from most of the major manufacturers. Do some homework to make sure that the printer you are looking at works with your computers (mine needs to be suitable for both Mac and PC) and needs to be on a network so one printer can serve all family members. It's much more economical. Next, look at the cost of the replacement toner - and - be sure to compare that to the toner refill kits or our compatible cartridges.
